Average at best is what you get in the food area of the KaDeWe: Cinco Jotas @ KaDeWe (23. June 2023)
It was time to return to the 6th level of the KaDeWe and spend some time there to get some tasty dishes. We went for a “bocadillo tradition (acorn ham on white bread with tomato tapenade and fresh diced tomatoes)” (EUR 9.90), which was quite okay. I mean, sure, nothing exciting, but the Jamon Iberico was absolutely enjoyable.
At the other counter, we went for a few seafood bites (EUR 43.20) consisting of “prawns”, “anchovies”, and “crab meat in avocados”. And well, it does look really tasty, doesn’t it? Well, it turns out that it was not quite at the level of quality in terms of taste as one would have wanted it to be. Hence, frankly, this was a bit of a disappointment.
While the idea of getting drunk with a bottle of wine and having some nibbles on the top of the KaDeWe is quite nice, the execution was a bit more disappointing.
