The perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine in the sun: The Rooftop Terrace @ Hotel de Rome (24. June 2023)
It is a few years ago since I’ve last been on The Rooftop Terrace of the Hotel de Rome in Berlin. Back then, it was in the context of a wedding, and it was quite nice and enjoyable. But back then, it was also less exclusive, i.e., you didn’t have to book your time to have a drink here, but you could just go and walk in. Now, booking in advance is an absolute must, unless you’re a hotel guest.
Through some connections, we were lucky to get a table – and were able to enjoy the “fresh garden lemonade (fresh basil, cucumber, lemon, sugar, soda)” (EUR 11.00), which was refreshing, but too expensive for what it is as well as a bottle of the “Wolke Sieben” (EUR 68.00), which was super easy to drink.
They are friendly and overall quite attentive, making sure you have everything you need and want throughout your stay on top of the hotel.
All in all, The Rooftop Terrace of the Hotel de Rome is a lovely space, which needs pre-booking. Once that’s successfully (and, for weekends, do it well in advance) done, you get to enjoy the sun to its fullest extent.
