Average, but swift business lunch option: Restaurant Brasserie Da Matteo (7. July 2023)
Honestly, the Brasserie Da Matteo is a place I would not necessarily have chosen when walking by, but sincce it was conveniently close, I figured, why not, and went for the lunch menu” (CHF 26.00), which turned out to be not that bad. The “salade de calamars” was good in terms of texture of the calamari, but quite simple all in all.
The “white fish with rice” was that. White fish with a strong pickles-based sauce. Since I personally like strong flavours, this was not too bad, but it’s overall rather simple.
So, all in all, the Brassiere Da Matteo (which I considered to be an Italian place from afar) serves decent French dishes for lunch.
