Tasty Thai dishes on a nice little balcony: Restaurant Jeab The Fine Cuisine Thai (13. July 2023)
I did not quite know what to expect from the Jeab The Fine Cuisine Thai, but was rather positively surprised. The place is rather tiny, but if you book in advance, you get a table on the balcony in the back, which is relatively cool despite hot weather. So, make sure to book in sufficiently in advance. As a starter, I went for the “Beef Gyoza” (CHF 12.00), which were rather enjoyable. The surrounding dough was a bit lighter than usually, but it was nice, especially in combination with the soy sauce.
The “green curry chicken” (CHF 32.00) with “sticky rice” (CHF 5.00) was delicious. It had a nice level of spiciness, just how I like it, and went well with the sticky rice. To be honest, though, the sticky rice was a bit too sticky for my personal gusto. I mean, you had to really slice and dice it with the spoon to make it edible. Other than that, the main dish was great.
The place is simple, the staff is friendly and attentive, but if you come after 12:00, you have to be a bit patient to get your food. All in all, the Jeab is actually a nice place, which I can recommend for lunch.
