Traditional Swiss dishes and beers from central Switzerland: Restaurant Rathaus Brauerei (15. July 2023)

| September 1, 2023 | 0 Comments

When you are looking for very traditional Swiss dishes, then the “veal cordon bleu (300gr) with ham from Muatathal and cheese from Nidwalden, served with salad” (CHF 42.50) is absolutely the perfect thing to eat. The portion is generous (and usually comes with fries instead of salad) and the meat is actually good. Sure, it’s quite a piece with 300 grams, but it’s worth having as it was perfect.

The service was a tiny bit complicated as we wanted a longer table where everybody in our group of 12 people would be able to fit, but that wasn’t really the plan of the restaurant, so, we ended up having three tables à four people instead. To sum it up, the Rathaus Brauerei (which literally translates to “city hall brewery”) is a place with a lot of tradition and with respectively traditional dishes. If you’re looking to get the Swiss experience, then this is definitely a nice place – and right next to the lake.
