Quite a lovely place in terms of interior design and food: Restaurant Nozomi (16. July 2023)

The Nozomi is a relatively new restaurant in Riyadh, so it was time for me to try the place. And I decided to go for the “wagyu beef sliders (robata grilled, tomato, caramelized onion, herb mayonnaise, cheddar cheese)” (245.00 SAR) as a starter, which were quite nice and actually sufficiently big, so you would have enough with just that as a starter.

As a second dish, I decided to try the “edamame hummus (lemon zest, extra virgin olive oil, selection of home-made crisps)” (55.00 SAR), which was quite nice. What I didn’t appreciate so much was the way it was served. The plate looked like there was a lot of hummus, but actually it had a little bulge inside, so, there wasn’t as much hummus as I had expected. And the ‘bread’, which came with it was nice, but it wasn’t enough for the hummus.

The “chicken gyoza (spiced black vinegar, julienne red chilli)” (85.00 SAR) were a bit small as a dish – but at least the sauce with which they were served was quite nice.

Finally, as a main course, I went for “crispy rice tuna (spicy neitoro, sesame oil, spring onions)” (130.00 SAR), which was quite interesting in terms of way of serving. The tuna was served in a bamboo bit – and was then subsequently scratched out by the waiter and put on puffy potatoes. Which was actually super nice – and much, much better than I had expected.

What I definitely liked about the place was the interior – the design of the place is quite lovely. As there are also two floors, it is truly nice.

The staff is very attentive and super friendly, which is enjoyable to experience. All in all, I enjoyed my experience at Nozomi quite a lot and would definitely recommend visiting the place.
