Quite decent lunch with friendly service, but not optimal location: Restaurant Nice Gastrobar @ Schanzengraben (2. August 2023)

I’ve passed the Nice Gastrobar a few times and was never quite intrigued to pay the place a visit. However, finally, I decided to try it and went for their “Caesar Salad” (CHF 16.00) with “chicken” (+ CHF 8.00), “bacon” (+ CHF 5.00) and “avocado” (+CHF 5.00), which actually turned out to be better than I had anticipated. But frankly, the bacon was nice and crispy, the chicken was a tiny bit too dry for my personal gusto.

When sitting outside, it is somewhat nice, but given you’re at a street crossing (respectively very close to i), it is not the best place in terms of surrounding noises. The staff is friendly and attentive – even if it  took a bit for them to take up our order and bring the beverages. All in all, though, the place is nice, and the food is good – plus the service is swift, which is especially important for a quick business lunch break.
