Excellent service, but relatively disappointing breakfast options: Restaurant Glowing @ Hotel President Wilson, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Geneva (24. August 2023)
It is years ago since I’ve last stayed at the Hotel President Wilson and I did not really remember how the breakfast buffet was, so I was curious to try it again. It has quite a nice selection ranging from savoury elements …
… to yogurt and fruit …
… salmon and curd …
… jams and spreads …
… a variety of breads …
… and even dumplings, as well as a couple of other things. The breakfast buffet is quite nice all in all – however, it somehow doesn’t ‘feel’ as appealing as I think it should be when considering the price you pay per night. The very same is true with regard to the atmosphere. The place is just not feeling like a five star luxury hotel, but rather like an average four-star hotel.
If you stay here anyway (for example because it seems like all hotels in the city are booked out), then it’s fine to have breakfast here. Other than that, not necessarily a place I would put very high up on my ‘must try’ list. However, the waitress attending my table did a marvellous job and was super friendly and attentive.
