A delicious dinner offering with attentive and friendly service: Restaurant Natürlich (24. August 2023)

Given it was quite late already for dinner, and I was somewhat hungry still, I decided to go for Natürlich since it had a relatively good rating. Once you’re seated, you’re brought some “bread and butter” and I must say the focaccia was great, and the butter was nice too.

As a first starter, I had gone for the “Oeuf GRTA 62°C (cauliflower, almonds, and old Gruyère AOP)” (CHF 19.00) and while there are quite a few ingredients, conceptually, in this dish I’m not the biggest fan of, in combination the dish was absolutely delicious! I mean, the combination of the smoothness of the egg, the intensity but lightness of the cauliflower with the crunchiness of the almond chips really made a great combination.

The “beef tartare (baby spinach, parsnips and Caesar sauce)” (CHF 24.00) was actually great. However, for me, it had too much of a ‘salad-ey’ element to it. Without it, I think, it would have been more enjoyable, especially, as it seems, as the beef tartare had been hand-cut. What I was missing a bit there was the bread. Luckily, there was some left from the bread and butter in the beginning, but it would have been great to get some just for the tartare.

As a main dish, I went for the “Fregola Sarda (fish and crustacean ragout)” (CHF 38.00). Where I realised two things. While the starters are relatively small and, for their size, comparatively expensive, the main course was massive, and relatively cheap. However, the fregola sarda was actually great in terms of flavour profile. The crustacean flavours really added to the dish, despite the intensity, which wasn’t intuitive.

The staff is absolutely friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need and want at all times. Hence, I can highly recommend you to try the restaurant Natürlich. Definitely worth visiting, when you’re looking for a good meal with caring service in a nice atmosphere.
