Surprisingly empty, but nice dishes: Restaurant Bones (11. September 2023)
It was not entirely easy to find a nice restaurant in Baden, but I eventually stumbled over the Bones, which was, overall, quite lovely. The place was basically empty, i.e., we were the only guests, but at least the service was friendly and made sure we’d have what we wanted. I went for the “Ossobuco Bones Style (veal joint with dumplings and vegetables)” (CHF 37.50), which was overall quite nice. The potato dumplings (which were a bit more like hash browns) were too dry for my personal gusto, but with the sauce, it was fine. The meat was of good quality and absolutely enjoyable – and for the price you pay, there is absolutely nothing you can complain about.
All in all, the Restaurant Bones is a nice little place, which offers good food in a nice atmosphere and has friendly and attentive service. From the observations I made, i.e., the place basically being empty, there doesn’t seem to be a necessity to book your table in advance. This might be different on other days of the week.
