Lovely garden patio with decent food but slow service: Restaurant Brasserie du Pont (3. October 2023)

It took me a while to find the Brasserie du Pont until I realised that it is the former Movies restaurant! When it’s sunny, it is worth sitting outside in the little garden patio and enjoying the last sun rays of autumn. The staff is friendly, but in all fairness, they are not the quickest. We had to wave several times at the waiter to make him realise that we were ready to order. To be fair, there were a lot of tables and just one waiter who was allowed to take orders. Still, somehow not an optimal setup for a quick client lunch.

I went for the “home-made veal ravioli (sage butter, leaf spinach)” (CHF 38.00) as a main and I must say it was good, but the portion was a bit too small for a main course as you would end up walking out of there hungrily.

All in all, the Brasserie du Pont is a nice place, which offers decent dishes and has a nice little garden patio. However, as mentioned, the service needs to improve if they want to keep it successful as a lunch place.
