Great and simple Irish breakfast, with a slow kitchen: Restaurant Old Mill (21. October 2023)

| December 9, 2023 | 0 Comments

Given we were in Ireland, we decided to go for a traditional Irish breakfast. The first place we tried to get into had a line of about 30 minutes, and it wasn’t necessarily warm in Dublin that day, so, we checked what else was available and the Old Mill looked quite nice and promising. Hence, we went for the “Full Irish Breakfast (2 sausages, 2 bacon, black & white pudding, baked beans, fried egg, served with sauté potatoes, toast)” (EUR 12.00) there. The breakfast is nice, sure, super heavy, but actually nice. And super cheap for how much you get.

The place is quite okay too. What wasn’t so amazing was the speed of the service. I mean, the table next two us, who were four people, got their breakfast plates (the same ones!) before we got ours. Not sure why, but definitely super annoying! So, yeah, if you’re patient and not starving, this is quite fine – if you are starving, though, then this is probably not the optimal place.
