A great place with delicious dishes for business lunch: Restaurant Carlton (24. October 2023)

The Carlton remains a nice place to enjoy a quick business lunch. The menu of the day included a “pumpkin cream soup”, which was a great and generous starter. On top of the actually decent size for a starter, it also turned out to be quite delicious in terms of flavour.

As a main, I went for the “salmon filet, orange, chicorée, white wine risotto” (CHF 46.00), which was quite nice. To me, the salmon was a tiny bit overcooked, as it could have been a little bit more raw, but it was good in terms of flavour profile, and – very surprisingly to me – the chicorée actually worked and wasn’t bitter at all.

The interior of the Carlton is nice and definitely worth spending in these four walls. On top of that, the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure you have everything you need and want within no time. Booking in advance is highly recommended, as the place is rather full.
