A superb lunch experience for a business day break: Restaurant Baur’s (27. October 2023)
The Baur’s is kind of one of my new favourites, as they really serve super tasty dishes, provide great service, and have a super stylish atmosphere. The menu today consisted of the “lentil salad” (CHF 10.00), which was not only quite a portion in terms of size, but was also absolutely delicious in terms of texture and flavour combination.
The main course was a “fish on black rice” (CHF 39.00), which was nice as well. The combination of the rice, which was cooked to the right temperature in combination with the black rice and the right sauce, made a great bite. Personally, the piece of fish could have been a tiny bit larger, but it was still tasty.
As an additional side, I had gone for the “wild broccoli” (CHF 9.00), and I must say that not each wild broccoli is prepared to the same level of quality, but this one was definitely good. But man, preparation varies so much!
All in all, I absolutely like the Baur’s as a place for a business lunch, however, you must plan early as you need to book quite a bit in advance to ensure you have a space for lunch.
