Decent for a business lunch, but nothing to be overly excited about: Restaurant Hermanseck (2. November 2023)

| December 31, 2023 | 0 Comments

It’s about 8 years ago since I’ve last been to the Hermanseck, but the place is still there as it used to be. I went for the “carrot coconut soup”, which was part of the menu, and I must say it was rather enjoyable all in all. The portion size is decent, and they manage to season it in a way that it is rather appealing.

The “whitefish filets served with a dill mustard sauce on chard and fried potatoes” (CHF 32.50) were decent. The quality of the whitefish was nice, the sauce was overall good, and the potatoes had a nice roast to them.

The place is simple and traditionally furnished inside, and the service is friendly and relatively attentive. All in all, you get a decent lunch offer here, but in terms of ‘looking for something special’, the Hermanseck isn’t the place to visit.
