Good for an afternoon break with a few nibbles to keep the alcohol balanced: Restaurant Miss Miu Badenerstrasse (1. November 2023)
The Miss Miu in the Badenerstrasse used to be “The Butcher & His Daughter”, but since it’s under new management, I decided to give the place another try. Given I’ve only had lunch shortly before, there was no need to indulge, but it was good to eat a bit of something before enjoying some alcoholic beverages. I went for the “Hyundai-Ok (bao buns with Bulgogi beef, steamed buns, filled with Bulgogi beef, red onions, pickled cucumbers and kimchi)” (CHF 14.50). The Bao Buns were definitely very enjoyable, but they were a quick bite and – comparatively – a bit expensive for what you get (in terms of amount of food).
Given the production of the meal took a while and the place was basically empty, we were offered a free “Ginger Apérol Spritz”, which was quite nice.
What I like about the place is also the interior as it is quite stylish and appealing – even if you go to wash your hands, you will encounter a few different signs, and frankly, this one was one I really liked.
All in all, the Miss Miu in the Badenerstrasse is not the same as the Miss Miu at the Europaallee, but it is a nice place from an interior perspective (better than the one at Europaallee) and quite lovely overall from a conceptual perspective – good food, okay prices, and friendly service (leaving the speed of the kitchen crew at 3pm aside).
