A perfect lunch break option with great dishes for a tremendously fair price: Restaurant The Old Inn (15. November 2023)
The Old Inn has become a go-to-restaurant for me since they manage to perfectly combine good food in a nice atmosphere with swift service and all of it for a fair price. As a starter, I had gone for the “mushroom toast (brioche, Onsen egg, soy brown butter)” (CHF 23.00), which was tasty, but definitely a bit too much in terms of number of mushrooms. I mean, sure, the food was definitely great, but the portion is rather a main course than a starter.
As a main, I had gone for the “honey mustard pork belly (honey mustard smoky bacon, salad, grains, salsa verde)” (CHF 32.00), which looked a bit different from the version I had enjoyed a few months ago, but the flavour and texture of the pork belly was still absolutely mind-blowing and definitely worth enjoying.
All in all, I can highly recommend you to visit The Old Inn for lunch – just make sure to book your table in advance, as on short notice it’s practically impossible to get a booking.
