Definitely worth doing the Bo Kaap Discovery Walk to try the koeksisters: Bokaap Deli (1. December 2023)
When doing the “Free Walking Tour: Bo Kaap discovery walk”, the tour guide let the group into the “Bookap Deli” to show us the “koeksisters”, which I found quite a nice gesture. The koeksisters here were quite nice, but they were also quite different from the ones I had previously tried at Die Strandloper – less syrup-y.
So, if you want to get the less sweet version of the koeksisters, the Bokaap Deli is a good choice to try those. You have to be patient, though, as they are freshly prepared, which takes a little bit of time.
