Speak easy just by the name, but still worth visiting: The Speakeasy Rooftop Bar @ Sel de Mer Hotel & Suites (27. December 2023)

| March 21, 2024 | 0 Comments

Randomly, we ended up in a rooftop bar, which pretended to be a speak easy, but was really just the name of the place on top of the hotel. However, even if it is not a speak easy as it stands, the place is nice and they offer a lovely experience. The “salted edamame” (79’000 VND) were served quickly and came together with a few roasted peanuts, which were quite lovely too.

The “Hmong Charm (Son Tinh apricot, Beefeater gin, lime juice, vanilla syrup, sparkling wine)” (189’000 VND) was one of the better drinks I’ve had in a while – plus, it was actually not sweet unlike most cocktails I’m usually enjoying.

The “lemongrass & ginger tea” (79’000 VND) was quite lovely overall as well – and it felt like it did good against the cold.

The place has a lovely view onto the seashore and the city of Danang from the front …

… and to the city from the back (picture taken about one hour later). The staff is super friendly and professional, and makes sure that you have everything you want and need in due time.

If you’re looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy, then The Speakeasy Rooftop Bar is definitely a good choice pre-dinner. If the weather is nice, I can imagine that sitting on the terrace will provide you with an even nicer experience.
