Breakfast at a place, which only opened 3 days ago: Restaurant Lok Lak @ Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort (3. January 2024)

| April 1, 2024 | 0 Comments

The Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort had its actual opening on January 1st, 2024, a fact, which was not known to me prior to my arrival. Hence, I was quite surprised how generally well the breakfast selection already works. There is a bit of everything, ranging from sweet treats like waffles and pancakes …

… to coffee and tea …

… butter and bread …

… cereals …

… fresh fruit and juices …

… even ice cream if you dare for breakfast …

… cookies and cold cuts …

… your very own salad station …

… an egg station …

… oatmeals and porridges in pots, which should be covered with a cloth as the chances that you burn your hands lifting the lid are quite high …

… eggs, fried noodles, and fried rice …

… dim sum …

… and the mandatory Noodle Soup Station.

The breakfast selection is definitely nice, however, when it comes to the service, there is some room for improvement. You have to place your order of coffee (if you don’t want the regular standard black coffee) when walking in instead of someone coming to your table. On top of that, either the egg station or the noodle station is occupied, which results in you waiting for a few minutes if you want the one which is currently not occupied, which is – frankly – a bit annoying in the morning. Other than that, the place is new, modern, functional, so there is really nothing wrong with having breakfast here when you stay at the newly opened Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort.
