Not necessarily a place to return to for drinks: Silk Garden Bar & Restaurant (4. January 2024)

On the quest for the best cocktail, we ended up in places, we hadn’t expected, like the Silk Garden Bar & Restaurant. Again, heads-up, you need to pay by cash, and the change is given in KKP instead of USD, so, you might want to take that into account when going here (even if it is more than 1 USD change). There is a little ‘upstairs’ area where you get onto ‘hanging sofas’ to enjoy your drink. I went for the “Coconut Rum Punch (dark rum Malibu, orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine, topped with ginger ale)” (USD 4.00), which was nice, but not really anything like a coconut tasting drink.

The area is nice, and there are a bunch of cats roaming around, so you’re always entertained.

The place is rather lit up, which is nice, but the staff is not really at the top of the service quality it could be.

All in all, the Silk Garden Bar & Restaurant is a place, which is largely okay, but not a place I would necessarily return to for another drink.
