Decent, but average breakfast: Restaurant Banana Leaf @ Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa (9. January 2024)
The breakfast offering in the Banana Leaf restaurant in the Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa is quite okay. It ranges from a range of juices …
… to a few warm dishes like a curry, something stewed, fried rice and noodles …
… as well as the more traditional Western breakfast elements like bacon, potatoes, sausages and one protein (usually pork, beef, or chicken, depending on the day) …
… as well as some veggies …
… your mandatory bread corner …
… including pastries …
… cereals …
… cold cuts, cheese, and fresh fruit …
… as well as a salad bar …
… and they also have an egg station with their signature dish, the “Egg Benedict Samui (with chicken, Panang Curry)”, which was surprisingly enjoyable and much better than I had anticipated.
All in all, the breakfast option is decent, but somehow still a bit disappointing compared to the vast selection of food we had in quite a few weeks now. The staff is exquisite, though, they are super friendly and make sure you have everything you need within no time. So, when you stay here, it’s fair to have breakfast here, else, not a place I would recommend to travel for.
