A truly outstanding beachside restaurant with stunning cocktails: Restaurant Sands @ Banyan Tree Koh Samui (12. January 2024)

| April 25, 2024 | 0 Comments

Normally, the Banyan Tree Koh Samui only allows in-house guests in their premises, but given we hadn’t known that and had already walked up to the place, they let us in – luckily, I must say, since it is located a bit remotely. In any case, the Sands is a great place right next to their private beach with a calm and lovely atmosphere, and it allows you to enjoy your “banana strawberry freezer (fresh banana, strawberry, lime juice, pineapple juice, sugar syrup)” (270 THB), which was refreshing, looking at the beach.

The “supreme pineapple (fresh pineapple, pineapple juice and sweet Thai basil)” (290 THB) was a bit less supreme since you had all the fibre of the pineapple in the drink, which made enjoying it with a straw quite tricky. That being said, the downside of the Sands is really that you cannot see the sunset, which is a pity, as it is really beautiful.

The staff is friendly and all in all attentive, but you have to be a bit patient when it comes to the ‘drinks production’, since they take quite a while to prepare those drinks.

All in all, I can absolutely recommend the Sands in the Banyan Tree, it’s a lovely little restaurant with an amazing view and professional service.
