A decent place with a nice view onto the sea: Restaurant Khrua Chao Ban (13. January 2024)

| April 27, 2024 | 0 Comments

The Khrua Chao Ban is very comparable to the Sabienglae Lamai – it’s a simple beach-front restaurant with a huge menu. I had gone for the “spicy-grilled beef salad” (250 THB), which was actually quite nice. A bit too much lemongrass, which made it tricky to eat without chewing for hours, but good in terms of flavour.

The “tom kha kai with chicken” (195 THB) didn’t have too much flavour of its own and the amount of chicken was rather limited, but that being said, the soup was good and enjoyable.

The view you have during the day is quite lovely since you’re literally seated above the sea shore and you get to observe the waves crashing against the pillars of the restaurant …

… so, all in all, the Khrua Chao Ban is a simple, but nice place with decent food, swift and friendly service, which is worth visiting if you’re based in the Lamai area of Koh Samui.
