7. September 2011: Brenner Grill Bar
The Brenner Grill is a bar as well as a restaurant – while the restaurant (and the large grill in the middle of the restaurant) looks pretty appealing – I only had the chance to try out the bar that night.
To start off with the most important: the drinks. I had a Mojito Classico (EUR 8.50) and frankly, I definitely have had better Mojitos. While the first one was really nothing great the second was a slight bit better but still bad.
While the Mojitos at the Brenner Grill bar are definitely not recommendable and also way overpriced (while I should not be surprised about that considering the fact that the Brenner is located in the Maximiliansstrasse). So, you should not go there for drinks. There are a few other reasons though, or mainly one: The atmosphere. The place is nice and cool somehow. Also, it has a nice sofa part which is absolutely comfortable.
The service is okay – nothing special, not especially friendly, but at least what you order is being brought to your table within a reasonable amount of time.
Overall, the bar is really nice (optically) and the crowd is also nice – but the most important element of a bar, the drinks, I cannot recommend!
