The crispy fried perch costs CHF 18.50 and the crispy fried perch is quite crispy and quite fried but there is not much fish to it which is quite disappointing. I’d say, if there was more fish to the whole dish, then it could be quite tasty but like that it is really nothing recommendable. The French fries which you have to order in addition cost CHF 9.50 and they are dry, crunchy, and not even properly salted. Overall, the “Egli-Fischknusperli” are definitely not recommendable. The prices for what you get to eat are way too high!

The service is okay – they do their job and they do it approperiatlely but nothing beyond that. They are friendly and do what they have to – but that’s also about it.

On the other hand, a glass of white wine costs around CHF 6.90 which is more than okay for Zurich. Not that the wine was outstandingly good but it was okay and the price is appropriate.

What is absolutely truly amazing though about the Restaurant Pumpstation is the place itself. The restaurant is located right next to the Lake Zurich and when you sit, you can enjoy the marvellous view all over the lake. The guests are nice and the area is quite lively. Overall, the Restaurant Pumpstation is not a place you want to go for eating but is definitely a place where you want to go to enjoy a glass of wine and the view all over Lake Zurich.
