26. October 2011: Restaurant Asia Binh
The spring rolls (Vietnamese style; EUR 1.70) are too crispy for my taste but the stuffing is at least acceptable. Frankly though, I definitely have had better spring rolls. For EUR 1.70 one cannot expect too much so I guess it is okay overall.
The main course was fried noodles with beef and vegetables (EUR 3.50). And well, it tasted like it looks on the picture – a huge mess. Sure, it is eatable and soy sauce helps a lot with regards to that but to be entirely honest I would not take it a a second time. Again, for EUR 3.50, it is not that you should expect too much.
Overall, the dishes in the Restaurant Asia Binh are eatable – but that’s pretty much it. They do not taste like much and are much more a mixture of quite some things not tasting like anything. Soy sauce helps. Frankly, no way you should go there because of the dishes.
There is no service as you have to order your dish at the counter when you enter the restaurant – so it is somewhat more of a fast food place with the possibility to sit down in a pseudo-restaurant-like atmosphere. That of course leads to the problem that you get your dishes not at the same time.
All in all, I would definitely not recommend going to the Restaurant Asia Binh as the food is definitely below average, the atmosphere is nothing special, there is no service, but okay, at least the prices are low.
