12. November 2011: Restaurant nooba

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

The “Beef Fried Rice” (CHF 30.50) with beef filet strips, fried drice, spicy basil, bamboo, hearts of palm, black-eyed peas, onions, and chili is astonishingly rich in taste. While I was expecting a rather boring dish, I must admit that the fried rice was very tasty, the beef filet was absolutely tender and of good quality, and the combination of hearts of palm, black-eyed peas, and the spicy basil made the dish perfectly round.

The price is a bit high though for the fact that about 90% of the dish consists of rather cheap ingredients – something like 25 CHF would be more appropriate. The atmosphere of the place is okay. There are long tables where you can place about 8 to 10 people which is a bit too much in my opinion as there is a lack of privacy if the place is crowded. It was not when we were there, so it was okay. The service is quite friendly and also rather quick. Nothing to complain about there.

Overall, the Restaurant nooba offers quite tasty dishes in an acceptable atmosphere, with decent service, for slightly too high prices. Still, I can recommend going there if you’re around that area.
