17. December 2011: Restaurant EAT @Factory Hotel

| December 18, 2011 | 0 Comments

Absolutely great atmosphere! That is the first thing which comes to your mind when you are dining at the Restaurant EAT in the Factory Hotel. The place just looks great – does not matter if it is in the mornings when the sun is shining and you can enjoy breakfast or if it is towards the evening when the light is dimmed and everything is a bit darker.

The breakfast offered in the Factory Hotel is pretty good. The selection is adequately large, the salmon is good but a bit too greasy, they offer cold cuts, cheese, fresh orange juice, cereals, and fresh fruit. And even the German “met” – definitely a good start into a new day.

But when you are eating there regularly, of course the selection is not as big so as a beginning we got served bread with some kind of cream cheese with parsley cream. It was okay but lacked a bit in intensity of taste (no matter what taste it was supposed to be having it was a bit tasteless).

I had ribbon noodles with salmon filet stripes in a tomato cream sauce with fresh cherry tomatoes (EUR 8.90). The salmon filet stripes were more a salmon filet (not in stripes) but at least it was quite tasteful. The fresh cherry tomatoes and the green which came with it made it very tasteful. What was a bit disappointing were the noodles themselves – I guess someone just forgot to put salt into the boiling water. So while the noodles did not taste like much themselves, in combination with the salmon and the cherry tomatoes, the dish was quite good.

The service was quite friendly and helpful – although it took them a bit at first until they took our order, thereafter, they were quick and were there within minutes if you needed another beer.

As mentioned, the interior is just beautiful – stylish, modern, oldish, simple, chic. I loved it!

Overall, I can definitely recommend to eat at the Restaurant EAT. The food is not outstanding but sound and good and the whole experience just gets great because of the atmosphere – marvellous! If you are looking for a place to stay in Münster, the Factory Hotel is definitely a nice place to stay – and to have something to eat in the Restaurant EAT.
