18. March 2012: Restaurant Kaisergarten
Obazda is a typical Bavarian dish (EUR 9.50) which usually comes with onions and pretzel. It is something like a snack one can eat at any time of the day. The obazda was good but somehow too creamy – and not as intense as one usually has it. A “Helles” (which is basically a jar of beer) accounts for EUR 3.90.
The Restaurant Kaisergarten has an outdoor and an indoor part – the outdoor part is a little garden which is very charming and nice – especially when the sun is shining. The inside is very nicely decorated too, lots of wood, wine bottles on the walls, modern but still somehow old-fashioned. A very nice mixture overall.
Our waitress was nice and friendly overall but when it came to paying she was not attentive at all and we had to wait about 15 minutes until she showed up. It was quite a downturn to the very nice service she gave before.
Overall, I can definitely reocmmend going to the Restaurant Kaisergarten and as I have heard it is absolutely necessary to book a table in advance in case you are thinking about dining there.
