22. April 2012: Restaurant Kurkonditorei Oberlaa Dommayer
The pork médaillons in pepper cream sauce with vegetable bouquet and croquettes (EUR 13.20) was fine. The meat was not – as described on the menu – roasted medium but more well-done but still okay and juicy. The pepper cream sauce was good and the vegetables and the croquettes were acceptable too. Overall, a confectionery is probably not really the place to have pork médaillons but they are okay.
The interior is okay for a café but not that appealing plus the tables are really small so you would not really enjoy a proper and generous breakfast there.
The pastries though look very appealing and are – according to my friend – very tasty. The prices are adequate and the service is okay too. Everything is brought to the table in due time but friendliness is definitely not their strongest point.
