22. April 2012: lutz – die bar
The atmosphere at the lutz – die bar is very pleasant. The place is spacious with a high ceiling, the interior is nice and the whole place just somehow welcomes you at once. The only downside is that there is a separate smokers’ area which looks quite hideous but is still better than if everything would be integrated into one room (as it is in most of the other bars in Vienna).
When I tried to order a drink I was told that they would only serves drink from 6pm onwards. Then I tried to order a beer and I was told that they do not have this kind of beer in stock. So well, I finally went for another type of beer. Quite a poor performance I would say but the waiter was friendly and helpful. The prices are acceptable (about EUR 3.80 or so for a beer). Overall, the lutz – die bar is a nice place to have a couple of beers and to enjoy the day. The service has left room for improvement (or rather the bar tender and the supply order guy).
