22. April 2012: Restaurant Mario Pasta – Grill – Bar
As the whole days was strongly driven by eating out I was only able to manage a starter for dinner so I had the “starters combination ‘Mario'” with a salmon tatar, a rucola tomato salad, and a beef tatar with chili herb cream (EUR 13.90). The salmon tatar and the beef tatar were both pretty good – the chili herb cream on top of the beef tatar was interesting but would not really have been necessary. Also, the rucola tomato salad was much more a rucola parmesan salad (also good but not what was written on the menu).
Atmosphere-wise, the Restaurant Mario Pasta – Grill – Bar is a nice place. The light is dimmed, the interior is modernly designed and it is just generally appealing. The waiters are professional but do not show any passion – they sure know what they do but they are also not really showing dedication which is a pity. The prices on the other hand are okay – not too high but also not very low.
Overall, I would go to the Restaurant Mario again when I was in the same area but I would not take the ride from the city center to the restaurant to eat there.
