5. May 2012: Restaurant Tex Mex
The Chimichanga (tortilla stuffed with minced meat, cheese and jalapenos and served with salsa; CHF 9.00) was quite okay. The stuffing is good and the jalapenos make it pretty spicy. The portion is rather small though that is why I decided to have another dish.
The Chilaquiles (CHF 12.50) were good – the sauces were pretty regular though. The dish is pretty much the American version and do not have much to do with the original Mexican food but they are okay.
The place is pretty simple and not really that appealing. The service is – generally speaking – very friendly and nice. Only the owner is a goddamn idiot. We were sitting outside when it started raining – and we were covered by a net curtain. And instead of warning us (he looked at us and saw us) he just started pulling it in so we got all wet. And he just lost himselves some customers for good! Make sure you are nice to the waitresses as they do a good job but you should rather avoid the owner.
Overall, nothing special – food is eatable, waitresses are friendly and competent, prices are okay, interior and decoration are pretty average and the owner is as unfriendly as one can imagine!
