6. June 2012: Ristorante Pizzeria Teatro

| June 9, 2012 | 0 Comments

The bread and spread which are served after you have placed your order are good. The bread is fresh and very yummy, the spread is even better. Somehow like the sauce you usually find with edible snails but with less garlic. Extremly tasty – especially the combination of the two.

The tomato basil soup with mozzarrella pearls, gin and a cream topping (EUR 5.60) is quite a portion – you definitely have had enough after finishing it. The soup is good, it has tomato pulp and is very aromatic. The mozzarrella pearls are not that persuading though – they seemed to me like being made of imitation cheese (cheese analogue) and that is why I had left them.

The “Gnocchi al Gorgonzola” (EUR 10.30) did not look too appealing at first when they were served but I must say that the gnocchi were tasty and the gorgonzola sauce was made of real gorgonzola and actually had pieces of the blue cheese elements in the sauce – so it was pretty tasty.

The prices are quite okay and generally fair, only the water is comparatively expensive with 0,75L San Pellegrino accounting for EUR 6.50. Other than that nothing to complain about. The waiter is doing his job, it is definitely not his vocation but the service is okay. The interior is nice too, the decoration is appealing and if you get to have a seat on the little balcony inside then it is pretty relaxing and you have some privacy.

Overall, the Ristorante Pizzeria Teatro is a nice place. The food is quite okay, the prices are fair, the service does what it has to do and finally the atmosphere is nice too.
