Buffets are not really my favourite thing as most often the quality of the dishes offered is definitely below average. For once, I must say, I liked the concept of the buffet very much. The food in the Marktrestaurant was very tasteful and the buffet offered a wide variety of different dishes starting with different meats and fish …

… a nice selection of fresh vegetables and salads …

… small amuse bouches …

… even more of them …

… fresh fruit …

… various deserts …

… a salad bar …

… and even more salads …

… a selection of different kinds of smoked fish …

… canapées …

… roastbeef platters …

… fresh parmesan cheese …

… hot side dishes …

… even icecream.

… and a great and large collection of different cheeses (very yummy indeed)!

I did not have the chance to try everything but quite a few things and I must definitely say that the food was outstanding (for buffet dishes). The place is not only recommendable due to the dishes which are served but also due to the nice view – admittedly you do not get to see directly onto the lake as there is too much forest around but all in all the view is not too bad and the interior is quite appealing too (okay, the green room is kind of special).

The service is friendly and helpful – a bit slow to be honest but they did a fine job. If you are staying at the A-ROSA Sport & Spa Resort Scharmützelsee I can definitely recommend you to eat at their restaurant – food is good, no question! But not that good that you should go there just for the food – but in the framework of having a relaxy weekend in a great Spa Resort, absolutely fine and we were charged only EUR 35.00 per person which is definitely a great price for the offer!
