14. September 2012: Marktrestaurant @A-ROSA Sport & Spa Resort

| September 22, 2012 | 0 Comments

Two days – twice the same restaurant? Well, the reason is simple, this time it was no buffet but an actual menu. The evening started very promising with a “beef carpaccio with mesclin salad covered with parmesan”. The combination of the mesclin salad with the cheese and beef carpaccio was very tasteful.

The main course was a “pork filet in a walnut crust with a cognac cream sauce, vegetables and tomato gnocchi”. And let me tell you, the main course was as good as the starter. The filet was juicy and the walnut crust made it very aromatic. The vegetables were good and fresh and the tomato gnocchi were quite delicious.

The desert was – in my opinion – a bit overloaded with chocolate but the pears were good and the pear mousse was fine too. The desert was definitely the weakest course but still okay.

Not really to my surprise but I must say the dishes served à la carte where even a bit better than what you got from the buffet. Great food! The service was friendly again but limitedly attentive again. The place remains the same, nice but not more than that. Again, eating there is a good idea while staying at the property!
