16. October 2012: Executive Lounge @Hilton Danube
The breakfast selection in the Executive Lounge of the Hilton Danube is pretty average – there is a little bit of everything but there is basically nothing you can really choose from. If you want some kind of fruit juice, you are stuck with orange juice. If you want cold cuts your choice is as limted as when you want cheese.
At least you get a bit of everything – eggs, bacon, yoghurt, fresh fruit, salmon and some other breakfast elements.
All in all, the food is okay – especially as it is free when you are a Diamond member or get upgraded to the Executive Floor. Still, getting an Executive Room to gain lounge access is definitely not worth the money.
The view from the Lounge is quite nice if you sit towards the river Danube – when the sun is rising, it is welcoming and nice. The interior is relatively old though and not really welcoming. But at least the service is very friendly. Definitely nothing to complain there. To sum it up, if you are Diamond member then it is okay to have breakfast at the lounge – if you are not, then it is definitely not worth going for the more expensive Executive rooms.
