20. October 2012: Enoteca da Ramundo

| October 28, 2012 | 0 Comments

The salad was fresh and the sauce was good too. A regular, fine salad. Nothing to complain and good to start into the evening.

The main course was “Tris di Pasta” which was eatable – only the pasta was cooked more than al dente which was definitely not what you are looking for when you are having pasta.

The pineapple ice cream served in a quarter pineapple was not really a blast either. I mean, the ice cream definitely had the taste of pineapple which was fine but it was definitely prepared quite some time ago as the ice cream had this typical elements of something you put in the freezer quite long ago.

All in all, the food is definitely not a blast – but for CHF 32.50 it is okay to get three courses. And the salad was actually okay. The service was friendly – the place is family run and the owner definitely has a very good clue about wines (and offered us a degustation which was interesting and the small snacks served with the wines were definitely tasty).

The interior is nice – it is an old cellar which is why it is a bit dark but it is definitely appealing and welcoming – nice decor, no question. The prices for beverages are reasonable: 1L water accounts for CHF 8.00, a double espresso for CHF 5.00 but to be honest, the coffee is not good at all.

All in all, the Enoteca da Ramundo definitely is a nice place optically, the service is passionate which is very nice. The prices are okay too but the food is not outstanding – the wine degustation offer was great though. I personally think, if you are looking for wine, you should definitely visit the Enoteca da Ramundo. If you are looking for food – you should not!
