22. July 2012: Restaurant Le Merou @Le Méridien Dom Hotel

| July 29, 2012 | 0 Comments

The breakfast at the Restaurant Le Merou is definitely one of the better breakfasts I have had. The selection is large, the quality of the food is very good – only the OMELETT station is not that amazing. Everything else, absolutely great!

There are potatoes, bacon, sausages …

… a selection of fish …

… fresh fruit and fruit juices …

… more fruit, more bottled juices, cereals …

… and of course fresh bread.

The restaurant is nicely located right next to the Dom of Cologne and you even get to see it if the sun is shining. The interior is not too modern but overall very nice and aligned. The service is great, the waiters are friendly and very helpful. As the breakfast was included in my rate I do not know what it cost – but I assume it is not that cheap, still, the breakfast is absolutely worth it. Especially if you have time on a Sunday – it is worth it because the Le Merou is open until 2pm which you do not find often. Absolutely worth going – even if you are not staying at the Le Méridien!
