22. + 23. November 2012: Sutton Club
Awarded by the Finest Clubs of the World, the Sutton Club is definitely among the good ones in Barcelona. The door policy is strict and the easiest way to get in is to book a table in advance or to know one of these club networkers (like e.g. Fabrizio Vernice) so you do not even have to pay entrance. Due to the strict door policy, the crowd is generally good.
The music played is definitely top notch – no question. Central Europa has a lot of catch up work to do. There are several VIP areas – one in the center with view to the stage (first night I was there) which was already quite nice but not the best. Way better is the VIP area right on the stage. It is not only great as you get to see all the people but you also get a nice view of the angels on stage.
The regular drinks are quite strong and good and also adequate in price (EUR 12.00). A table is definitely worth taking but costs a slight bit more – a bottle of Vodka Belvedere accounted for EUR 250.00.
Overall, the Sutton Club definitely belongs to the good places, no question: good place, nice crowd, fair prices and great music!
