27. February 2010: Club The Rocket
The Rocket Club is located in via Pezzotti and therefore most easily reachable by tram 15.
The club’s design is two-folded: A little entry hall where you can have a drink (the bar is located there) and where you basically have to wait until the DJ (or more generel, the live-act) arrives. Once, the doors are opened (they open around midnight), you can enter a little hall (maybe like 50 squaremeters) where the DJ and the dance floor are located.
Optically, the club does look quite nice – but it’s really crowded and the audience visiting the club is quite mixed, or let’s put it this way: alternative.
The music played was decent: electro. A bit monotonous, but all in all acceptable. One major shortcomming was though the volume of the music: Freaking loud! Better bring earplugs when you enter the place as the dancefloor is so small and the boxes point right to the middle of the room.
The drinks are quite nice and also decently cheap (entry + 1 drink costs 10 EUR).
All in all, “The Rocket” isn’t too bad a club as the music is decent (but too loud), the drinks are okay, the atmosphere is okay as well and what you get for the money is also acceptable.
