1. February 2013: Restaurant Uto Kulm
The Cheese Fondue (approx. CHF 55.00 per person) was served with potatoes and bread and the moitié-moitié cheese mixture was very good. It was intense in taste and very rich. The price for the fondue is quite okay if you consider the place. The service is limitedly optimal – the waiter is not really friendly and also tended to forget the orders.
The dessert sinfonia (CHF 15.00) was actually even better than the cheese fondue. The icecream was tasty, the piece of chocolate cake was absolutely delicious and I am not even a big fan of chocolate. Definitely a great way to close a dinner.
The place itself is very nice – you have an amazing view all over Zurich – no question about that but it is a damn hassle to get up there as it is not possible to drive up there by car but you only get there by public transportation. Overall, the Restaurant Uto Kulm is a nice place with good food, fair prices, and finally not too good service!
