10. February 2013: Bar @The Dolder Grand
The perfect place for an afternoon tea on a Sunday is the bar at The Dolder Grand Hotel with a view all over Zurich. Although it was pretty cold outside, it would have been worth sitting outside (but in the end it was definitely too cold). I had the “Botanic Garden Tea” (CHF 10.50) which was fresh and tasty – no question about that.
The place itself is lovely, nice atmosphere, modernly designed but still somehow fancy. The service is very friendly and helpful, and last but not least, the prices are steep but still fair for what you get (e.g. a fruit cheese cake accounts for approximately CHF 9.00). Definitely a very lovely place where you pay a price for what you get – but it is worth being paid!
