11. February 2013: Restaurant Thong Thai

| February 26, 2013 | 0 Comments

“Poh-Pia” (6 vegetarian spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce; EUR 2.80) was a nice start for lunch. The spring rolls are good but the dow is pretty thick so you do not have much of the actual stuffing.

As a main course, I had “Gai Ha Ros” (crispy fried chicken in a tamarind chili sauce, cashew nuts, crispy Thai basil; EUR 8.50). The meat was crispy and tasty and the whole dish was rather spicy but pleasant after all.

The service is non-existent as you have to order your food at the counter and then it is brought to your table – the place is quite okay, a simple diner but not shabby at all. Overall, the dishes at the Restaurant Thong Thai are pretty fine, very fair in price, and the place is good too.
