Real and real good Italian food is offered by the Restaurant La Cantina. The “Antipasti” platter had everything you need, vitello tonato, beans, tomatoes, olives, onions, carpaccio – and it tasted good, no question about that.

The “Bruschette” which were served with the antipasti were fine too – crunchy bread, good tomato and garlic topping.

As a main course, pasta was served. The pasta was quite okay, no question. While the one prepared for the whole table was definitely edible, the one prepared separately for my vegetarian colleague was definitely way better. But the owner showed flexibility when we asked for a special arrangement for her as she was not able to eat the “meat version”.

For desert, I had a “Tartufo” – nothing special but tasty and fine!

The place is nicely decorated, the service is a bit slow and distracted from time to time but generally very friendly and flexible. The prices on the menu looked okay – cannot judge on the actual prices here though as it was a special arrangement. Overall, the Restaurant La Cantina was definitely one of the better ones in Münster I have tried so far.
