23. July 2010: Oliver Twist Pub

| July 24, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Oliver Twist Pub is located in the Niederdörfli, close to the Restaurant Santa Lucia. It’s easily reachable by public transportation by tram (3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 15) or bus (31, 46, 344, 345, 347). The Oliver Twist is a typical English pub (at least what you imagine about). The whole place is somehow dark, has flags of all different nations all over it, almost all the guests and the bartenders are speaking English and there’s a dart game in the corner.

You have to get your beer at the counter and it’s okay in price, paying CHF 8.40 for 5dl of Swiss Lager. Also, the dishes you have to order at the counter and I’ve had a Giant Pickwick Burger (or something like that) with bacon and cheese and chips.

The whole thing was quite tasty, and the French fries were quite good too.

The Oliver Twist Pub is a great place to go and have a beer, get to know British people and to play a round of dart. It’s not the most comfortable place but it does have a nice atmosphere and you can get beer for reasonable prices.
