17. February 2011: 089 Bar & Lounge
Nice place, good music, good cheap drinks and a really good crowd – the 089 in Munich. The bouncer is already quite picky and sends everybody he doesn’t want in to one of the side entrances where you have to queue up quite a while. If you get past though, you won’t have to queue and get to pay the entrance which is 6 EUR only (and included a welcome drink from aperol). The wardrobe costs 2 EUR and then you’re free to enter the place. You can either pick the Pacha dancefloor (electro) or the one of the 089 which is more charts and disco music. The DJ is not really amazing but gets the crowd moving.
The waitresses are quick in preparing the drinks (costs around 10 EUR per drink) and the drinks are quite okay. The atmosphere of the club is nice because the crowd in the club is really nice. Otherwise, the interior design itself is nothing really special.
All in all, the 089 in Munich is a cool place to make party. Make sure though you’re well-dressed and have a place where you’re seen – as Munich is all about that: being seen or being nobody.
Not so far from the 089 Bar & Lounge, the Caffè Luigi Tambosi im Hofgarten is located.
