16. March 2011: Restaurant Königsquelle

| March 17, 2011 | 0 Comments

The Wiener Schnitzel is thin and good in taste, the crust is loose and crispy. The taste together with the cranberry sauce is great. The meat is light, not chewy, and the crust provides the little extra hint which complements the taste perfectly. The potato salad is pretty good too and rich in taste. All in all, the Wienerschnitzel with potato salad and cranberry sauce (EUR 16.90) is recommended. And half a litre of beer (EUR 3.50) fits perfect with it.

The waiters are friendly and helpful, always checking if you have everything. What must be said though is that we had to wait quite long (about 20 to 30 minutes) and there weren’t that many guests eating at the time we had dinner. Still, it must be said that it was a good Schnitzel so that made up for it.

The atmosphere of the place is okay – it was pretty crowded even after 10pm on a Wednesday evening. Also, the interior is entirely held in wood but the tables are black and therefore provide the place with a good contrast.

The prices are pretty decent too – accounting for EUR 16.90 for the two Wiener Schnitzel and for EUR 3.50 for half a litre of beer.

All in all, the Restaurant Königsquelle is a good address for German Food with a nice atmosphere, friendly waiters and a fair price-performance ratio. Definitely worth going if you’re around that area. Close to it is the Restaurant Valentin-Stüberl which has pretty good Schnitzel too.
