The place you get ‘stored’ to wait 45 minutes for your table: Freddy’s Bar @ Hotel de L’Europe (14. June 2023)
While I have been here before, this time I ended up being there involuntarily. Ultimately, I had a reservation for the Restaurant Marie at 8.30pm. And while I was on time, the table wasn’t ready. And since this was the case, the guy brought us to a table in the bar right next to the Marie, Freddy’s Bar. Just to bridge the waiting time of five minutes. Which turned out to be 45 minutes. Frankly, sure, it’s ne to get a “free” “Moscow Mule”, which was decent in terms of quality, but waiting for 45 minutes before the table is ready, when you have a dedicated booking is just not acceptable.
So, all in all, sure, you can always take a drink at Freddy’s Bar, but I would highly recommend to either take the first shift at Marie, or not go at all. For details, see the review on Marie.
